UVA Green Dining has eliminated straws from all residential dining halls, and is attempting to reduce or eliminate straws from other on-grounds restaurants. Look out for signage encouraging you to Skip the Straw at these locations.
The First Lady’s Food Lab is both a meeting/classroom space as well as a network and hub for food-related programming that builds bridges between the University and the Charlottesville community.
Morven Kitchen Garden achieved GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) certification in October 2017, allowing student-grown produce to be grown just for UVA Dining rooms.
